The September switch has been fully turned on. After a great British summertime we've recently been blessed with torrential rain and autumn is well and truly in the air.
Its not all doom and gloom at Civitas however as we have lots to look forward to over the coming months and a big autumn/winter ahead, including Free Friend week, new merch 👀 Oly lifting camp, Halloween at Civitas and of course our Winter Throwdown and Christmas party!
First things first I think I speak for everyone when I say a HUGE congratulations to Jonny and Kelsey who tied the knot last week! We all hope you had the most amazing day and continue to have the most amazing life together 🤍 .

August saw Civi's in all sorts of competition and doing us proud! Jord smashed his first triathlon and Ben finished on the podium at South West Regionals. With members also competing over at CrossFit Chippenham in their Hyrox sim.
We also had, at the start of this month Cliver and Langers competing in the British Masters Championship at CrossFit Southampton! Well done chaps 👏
For any other masters who want a local comp coming up, Marlborough CrossFit have a mixed pairs comp on the 21st September (minimum age required is 35)n and the last chance to sign up is on the 13th. Here's the link if you and a partner wanted to sign up 👊 : https://competitioncorner.net/events/17989/details
Oxhouse also have just announced a comp on 23rd Nov. This one is a same sex 4's comp and the link for that one is here 👊 : https://competitioncorner.net/events/17816/details

After that will be our Winter Throwdown and this year we are looking for it to be our best yet. We want it to be our most inclusive comp and we want as many of you as possible to sign up so that you all have something to keep you training and motivated throughout the next few months. We will be releasing info on this within the next few weeks!
Last month we held our first ever Kids and teens summer camps at the gym and they were a huge success. Thanks to all of you who brought your kids along and to those who missed out, we will be doing more of these in every holiday moving forward so you'll have plenty of chances to get your kids involved. Our kids community is great and we're always looking to improve on it and give the kids the best chance to do what we would call 'proper CrossFit' and the summer camps meant we could expose them to some technical movements, all of which they learnt with ease 😳 . Parents! Keep your eyes peeled for details of a fancy dress parents and kids workout this halloween 👀

For those of you who haven't brought your kids to kids class before. Just give us a shout and we'll book you onto our kids class every Saturday morning at 8am.
As the weather cools down we'll be releasing our latest merch drop to keep you cosy.
#FREEFRIENDWEEK is a couple weeks away (22nd September). We've all got friends who wonder what the CrossFit obsession is about or who just don't get why you love it so much. Well now is the chance to get them to come and try it for FREE!
You MUST sign your friend up for them to be eligible (I've had a few saying their mates are coming, but no sign up 🤔 ) so click the link below and fill in their details so we can make sure they come along! Try to bring your mates as much as possible to meet all the coaches and try out different types of workouts to really get a feel for our community and why we get the results that we do through our training. IF your friends enjoy it and want to sign up you'll save them and yourself some money through our referral scheme. Sign more friends up? save more money! This is the last chance they'll get to try CrossFit this year for FREE so DO NOT MISS OUT! www.crossfitcivitas.com/freefriendweek
MEMBER OF THE MONTH
DAN HARVEY

Right, hear me out (he's gonna hate me)🤚
When we talk about consistent trainers, there aren't many more consistent than this man. He has been in the Platinum group of our committed club for every month this year bar April in which he still averaged 3 classes per week. He'll absolutely HATE receiving some praise and call me every name under the sun for it but those who know and have been in classes with Harvs know he's great to be around, is always up for a laugh and doesn't take himself too seriously but when the workout timer starts he gets his head down and works hard which, in my opinion, is exactly how it should be.
Congrats mate, and sorry 🤣
